Your monetary donation supports our mission, providing essential care, shelter, and love to animals in need.

Types of Volunteers Needed

This group coordinates veterinary appointments, transports animals, and returns them to their habitat or fosters. Volunteers will capture feral cats or stray dogs before their visits. Training, cages, carriers, and supplies will be provided.

This team also supports those who can take animals to veterinary offices through facilitating an application process.

This team will collaborate to raise funds for the program through various methods (like car washes and walk-a-thons), seek support from local businesses and organizations, write grant proposals, promote fundraisers on social media and our website.

This team will find and vet compassionate individuals to either temporarily foster or permanently adopt cats and dogs. Volunteers will provide applications to families interested in caring for animals and will conduct interviews and evaluations to ensure pets are placed in safe, healthy homes. Training and materials will be provided to support volunteers in this process.

This team focuses on raising awareness about program needs and promoting responsible animal care. Volunteers will represent HSHC at public events like Heritage Weekend, the Poultry Festival, and the Tri County Fair, where they will engage with attendees and distribute informational literature. They will also collect photos and success stories to highlight the impact of our work for distribution. Volunteers who enjoy public speaking can also help spread our message through other communities activities.

We cannot accomplish these goals without the support and involvement of our community. Please give from your heart to theirs.
